 | Montclair Community Food Co-op Summer CSA In the Summer and Fall months we work with a local farmer to receive fresh picked organic produce bi-weekly at the wholesale price! Every other week from the end of June to the last week of November we receive produce that was just picked that morning or the day before and delivered to Montclair to be enjoyed by our members! How does it work? Each member pays for their "share" of the harvest in the beginning of the season. There are fruit "shares" and there are vegetable "shares." Members can purchase one or both types.Weeks can also be pro-rated.
The shares are about a bushel box size of local seasonal produce. We receive what is growing and is picked that week from the farm. You know where your food is coming from and how it is grown. What a great feeling!
Talk to the co-op coordinator about the farmers and their growing practices. |
