 | Montclair Community Food Co-op Summer CSA In the Summer and Fall months we work with local farmers to receive fresh picked organic produce bi-weekly at the wholesale price! Every other week from the end of June to the end of November we receive produce that was just picked that morning or the day before and delivered to Montclair to be enjoyed by our members! How does it work? Each member pays for their "share" of the harvest in the beginning of the season. There are Full shares which include fruit, vegtables and eggs. Or purchase each one seperatly. We can pro-rate so tell your friends to join us!.
The shares are about a bushel box size of local seasonal produce. We receive what is growing and is picked that week from the farm. You know where your food is coming from and how it is grown. What a great feeling!
Talk to the co-op coordinator about the farmers and their growing practices. Fruit shares are chock -full of the most wonderful local seasonal fruit! All grown by Integrated Pest Management methods (IPM) which is safe and as close to organic as it comes for North East coast grown fruit. The Full Share is recommended for an average sized vegetable eating family or a small vegetarian family.
The Full Share is $55 a week. 12 deliveries for a bushel box of organic local fruits, vegetables and 2 dozen pastured organic brown eggs.
A La carte options availble. Sorry cant do half shares- find a friend and split! |
Every member must fill out a short member agreement form including your personal information. New form for 2010 is coming.
